Portals / Customizing Portals
MAGIQ Documents portals can be customized or personalized by each individual user. In order to personalize a portal, you must be logged in. MAGIQ Documents keeps track of your personal settings and preferences including gadget positions and state by saving this information under a user profile. When users come back to the portal, the portal presents itself with the last saved settings for the user.
Not all portals are customizable. The portal Administrator or the System Administrator can set an attribute in the portal that allows user customization or personalization. These portals can only be managed by the administrators.
- The portal boxes (gadgets) can be positioned
- The portal boxes (gadgets) can be made visible or invisible.
Box or gadget content cannot be altered by users.
- Click on the "Change Layout" link located on the bottom tool bar.
- The portal screen will refresh and go into the "Layout" mode.
- Position the gadgets by positioning your mouse on the image that appears on the top-left corner of each gadget.
- Click on the "Change Layout" link located on the bottom tool bar.
- The portal screen will refresh and go into the "Layout" mode.
- Resize the gadgets by positioning your mouse on the bottom-right corner. Stretch or shrink the gadget by clicking and keeping your left-mouse button depressed.
- Click on the "Change Layout" link located on the bottom tool bar.
- The portal screen will refresh and go into the "Layout" mode.
- A floating box will appear on the bottom of the screen labeled "Box Visibility".
- Check or uncheck the check boxes that appear in the list to make these gadgets visible or invisible.
